Auntie Marie SueB asked:
The temperature is on average 68-70 in our place anyway.
But not sure if just a tank a water would stay this temp w/out a heater inside
Having tropical fish you have to have a heater, however what abt plain freshwater fish?
Looking into getting an aquarium soon :o)

bham_guy331 asked:
I recently got a 14 gallon freshwater aquarium. After letting the tank filter out and reach 75 degrees (about 2 days), I started adding fish. I added about 9 fish in 2 days. They were all fine until about 2 days ago. They all died within 1 day of each other. This was about 3 weeks after I got the aquarium. How do I keep them alive? Also, what are some good fish to keep in it?

dansaremm asked: I have a 29 gal. freshwater tank, and we’re looking to add a second, much larger tank. We LOVE our aquarium! It’s been set up for about 3 years now, and it’s been pretty successful (until my spotted catfish got bored one day and ate all the neons).
I would like to keep the 29 gal. as a semi-aggressive tank with catfish, gouramis, sharks, etc. and use the bigger tank for community fish, like mollies, neons and tetras. Have any of you had a community freshwater tank this big with these species? Can I use a few seashells from the ocean in a freshwater tank of that size? Is it harder to maintain than a 29 gal? And it’s going to be on the second level of the home (1st level is a finished basement). Will my floorboards hold that much weight?
I appreciate any tips and advice.

Cemetery Gurl asked: I have a sick fish and want to make sure everything is cleaned before I put it back in the tank (Statue, plastic plant, gravel).
What should I do/use to completely clean this stuff and keep it fish-friendly so I don’t use something that will kill my fish when I put it back in the tank?
