I have a 40 gal freshwater set up right now with Barbs, Danios, loaches and a rainbow shark. I want to get a spotted green puffer but read that they are brackish fish. Would I be able to make my freshwater slightly brackish in order to keep a spotted green puffer or would that mean death to my freshwater fish? Would I be able to keep the puffer in a completely freshwater tank??

davisjessicaaof asked: Hi,
I was looking for freshwater fish that can live in a 55 gallon tank that might not be exactly a “community fish” and can be somewhat aggressive, or at least ward off attacks if another fish was in pursuit.
Do you know of any fish that would fit the description?
Thanks!

If the study of saltwater fish is marine biology what is the study of freshwater fish?
what is the study of fresh water african cichlids?

Tyler P asked: I have a 30 gallon freshwater aquarium and I want a small exotic fish that will get along with a community type lifestyle, a fish with very low aggression. If you could please tell me the name and make sure it is cool looking.
In addition, if you could provide a link it would be great. It can give you a chance at the best answer. AN easy 10pts.

Oceanic creatures have all sorts of colors and elegant designs. Freshwater fish typically have bland colors and don’t look as nice, why?
