Amanda asked:
I’m using fish food to cycle my aquarium. Should I leave the filter off until it’s done cycling, or can I leave it on?
I don’t have any fish in the tank yet, if that wasn’t clear.

I have a 2 gallon aquarium with a betta fish and an african dwarf frog. There is a bubble aerator and I change the water once a week. Do I need to get a small filter?

Name only “two” types or breeds of freshwater aquarium fish that are favorites of yours….

Preferably one that categorizes as many types of available aquarium fish, has illustrations, and descriptions of native fish habitats/conditions.

speedykid8 asked: I have a 29 gallon fish tank and I was wondering if there are any problems or any suggestions you could offer with my fish selection.
-Red Tailed Shark (1)
-Zebra Danios (4)
-Cardinal Tetras (4)
-Cherry Barbs (4)
Will the redtail shark do ok with the other fish. I am not really sure yet. Some books and websites say it will get to big and agressive to keep with the other fish. More feedback on this would be nice. Thank You.

The temperature is on average 68-70 in our place anyway.
But not sure if just a tank a water would stay this temp w/out a heater inside
Having tropical fish you have to have a heater, however what abt plain freshwater fish?
Looking into getting an aquarium soon :o)

I searched online and found some recommended salt for marine fish.
As of now I only have aquarium salt for freshwater fish.
However, the guy at the store said that table salt is fine.
