I’m using fish food to cycle my aquarium. Should I leave the filter off until it’s done cycling, or can I leave it on?

Well I tried to put some Zeolite Crystals into my ten gallon aquarium filter and in doing so maybe about two tablespoons fell into the aquarium. The aquarium consists of several baby Black Lyre Tail Mollies, three Glo Fish, One Betta, and a plecostomus. I don’t know if what kind of fish are in there matters or not… but I tried to look up what happens and couldn’t find anything.
