Brown Sugar Cycling in a Freshwater Aquarium?
Brian C asked:
There is a method of cycling your freshwater aquarium by putting a pinch of brown sugar in every day. Assumedly, this addition adds Ammonia to the tank to get the cycle moving. So, my question is, where does the Nitrogen come from that forms the NH3.
So, you are confirming that brown sugar has ammonia in it? If so, where does it come from, the molasses. Do you have any references of where this information was absorbed?

Thank you.
