So I have decided to setup a tropical aquarium in a 30″ wide tank. Its a clearseal tank with a consort hood.

I am all clued up now with it all aside from lighting.

I am not sure how to setup lights in the aquarium. I am thinking of getting a 30″ flourescent tube but will that be too long for a 30″ long tank? Also what holds the lighting up out of the water? And how is the light tubing lit up. Do i need some sort of power box for it?

you see those big broken ships at big al’s or Petco. their like 70 bucks.. i saw a few videos on youtube where this guy made a mayan temple and basking rock and other crap out of Styrofoam, im just wondering if anyone knows how to make any of that kinda stuff for an aquarium. what kind of sealant and grout should i use that will not be toxic to the water. .. any cool ideas on what to build would be helpful as well
