-Red Tailed Shark (1)
-Zebra Danios (4)
-Cardinal Tetras (4)
-Cherry Barbs (4)
Will the redtail shark do ok with the other fish. I am not really sure yet. Some books and websites say it will get to big and agressive to keep with the other fish. More feedback on this would be nice. Thank You.

That sounds good.=)

The shark will probably eat your other fish, so I would suggest something else. The other fish will be happy together in 29 gallons. Danios and tetras prefer to be in schools of 6 or more.

This set up looks good, you could probably even add something to take care of waste if you wanted, like a snail or shrimp.

all the schooling fish need groups of 6 or more
not 4

It should work OK.
The schooling fish would be better in a bigger group, but they dont HAVE to be.
The Red Tails dont get that big or agressive, the other fish are quick enough to keep out of their way.

The shark might be aggressive. I would not put in the redtail shark just in case. Watching the shark chase the other fish isn’t that pleasant. I would make the numbers of zebra danios, cardinal tetras, and cherry barbs bigger, since they look much better in bigger schools.

Red tailed shark may be fine in your 29 gallon tank. There is plenty of space if the shark chase other fish. And they are not very aggressive enough to kill other fish if there is space.
If you concern about the aggressiveness of rad tailed shark and still want some different fish form tetras and barbs, there are some other choice below.
1st suggestion
This fish less active than the shark but moderate.
They eats sunk food on sand so they cleans tank.
2nd suggestion
This fish much less active than the shark.
They eats sunk food on sand and algae on glass surface so they cleans tank.
They shows comical behavior when they suck the glass surface. They does not eat floating food on water surface and they does when the food sunk. Sometime they get thin when they can’t have enough food. You could give them tablet food (like TetraTabiMin) in case they get thin (usually not happen).
