Saltwater fish in a freshwater aquarium?
Mohamad R asked:
This might seem a little far fetched but i was wondering whether the black bream that i catch at the river can go into a fresh water aquarium that i have at home, i have read somewhere that saltwater fish can be converted into freshwater. If so, how do i go about doing this and how do i maintain them.

No. the only fish that can survive in freshwater that generally prefer a salty environment are a few select species of brackish fish such as the Molly, but even then they still need salt to survive or they will suffer.
Fish that only live out in the ocean will die very very quickly if put in a salt-free environment.
The science bit explains this better, research “fish osmosis”. There are dozens and dozens of sites explaining it better than I ever could!
