What do freshwater exotic fish need?
I have a twenty gallon tank and want to get some cool corolful freshwater fish, what do they need to live, and how much should i expect to spend?
Also, do I need to keep them in the plastic frames/pots that some of them come in, or should I just take them out and put them into the gravel?
For reference, I currently have:
-2 guppies
-3 Neon Tetras
-2 Danios
-1 snail (I have forgotten the full name, but it’s something to do with golden)
I have 2 different plants, a rock formation, and marbles and such scattered about the bottom. I don’t buy my fish based on priced, rather on if I think they’re pretty or not. If you plan to insult my tank, or myself, I’d much rather you not answer at all.
Thank you for any advice you can give :o)
Thanks for your answer Smellen94 but the link doesn’t work! Argh! Can you offer any more assistance?
Thanks
Should i take them out so they can root.
2 are Crinum’s and the other 2 may or may not even be aquarium plants…the look like small elephant ear plants or arrowheads.
A few months ago I began to see tiny brown dots (thats the best way I can describe them) floating around in my aquarium. I didn’t know if they were eggs, or a parasite, or something foreign introduced to the aquarium. A platy had dissapeared a few weeks before this happened, and I couldn’t find it anywhere. I thought these brown dots might have been related to it? I treated the tank with anti-pariasite medication, than antibacterial, then antifungal. I unfortunately lost one platy from dropsy, and later a guppy from unknown causes (the guppy dissapeared).
The tank got better eventually, but now a few months later, they are back with a vengance. There must be thousands of them. They’re everywhere. There’re floating in the water, in the gravel, on the plants(I don’t have real plants). I have no idea what they are, or how to get rid of them for good. Please help!
