1 - 7″ Rainbow Shark
1 - 3″ Knight Goby
1 - 1″ Female Swordail (her mates were eaten
1 - 3″ Angelfish
3 - 2″ Clown Loaches
2 - 4″ Pearl Gouramis
6 - 1″ Serpae Tetras
I have a lot of bottom dwelling fish. I know that the Knight Goby is a brackish fish, but he has thrived in my tank for well over 2 years now. I refuse to put any barb in my tank, for I have never had barbs that aren’t mean. I love Rams, but I worry about them in the same tank as my angel, who is quite peaceful. I’m looking for some more color as well as some movement. Most of my fish are very dorment. Neons seem to last a little while, but the shark eventually gets to them. In the past I’ve had Diamond Tetras, Rainbow Danios, and Dalmation Mollies. One other option I’ve had before is Dwarf Gouramis but they seem to be kind of a dorment fish as well. I’m looking for something different, any suggestions? Thank you for your help. (Sorry for the long post)
Thank you for all of your responses. I have been keeping fish for many years, and I’m not a big believer in the 1″ per 1 gallon philosophy. But I do respect those who are. It is important to realize my tank is not a typical long rectangle. It is extremely tall and very well covered with rocks and plants. All fish have ample hiding places. I’m not looking to add lots of fish, just looking for 1 or 2 odd/different/not typical fish that you see everywhere. I know my loaches will grow, but with a small bottom area of my tank, their growth should be stunted before they get too big. Thank you so much for your responses!
i kno i have to do something to the peices of tree because otherwise they would rot in the water.
