can freshwater fish live in brackish water?

As the above answer contradicted itself at least 3 times, I’ll try to clarify. Whether or not your fish will tolerate brackish conditions depends solely on the fish you have and plan to get. Mollies, Guppies, and some hard-water-loving Cichlids do very well in brackish water, while things like Catfish, Loaches, Tetras, and similarly salt-sensitive fish will quickly dehydrate. I would strongly recommend you either go brackish or freshwater and choose the fish accordingly.
